Old school house of the Vehu village
Vehun vanha kansakoulu is an old wooden school house from 1925. The building was renovated in 1998–2000. 270 squaremeters offer five bedrooms, modern kitchen, a large meeting room for 50 people, a small meeting room for 10 people, and other facililities. Sauna and covered fireplace are available, too.
We offer accommodation for 28 guests, catering service by order, bed and breakfast, and a place for celebration, meetings and reunions. For example, we have hosted several international raids for 2cv drivers, e.g., Miniraid Vehu, Raid Laponie, and Raid Mosquito.
Vehu is located about 400 km from Helsinki within a peaceful forest area with excellent hiking paths. Vehu is about 200 m above sea level and snow is available in wintertime. More details about the local weather is available at www.fmi.fi. Vehu is about 20 km away from Ähtäri weather station.
You can visit nearby a sheep farm and buy local products like lamb wool and mutton.
